we clean the paddy, we separate the chaff from the grain! Oh darling!
we boil the  rice on earthen pots in the central courtyard of the house, allowing it to boil over the pot! Oh darling!
we light the kuthu vilakku (oil fired lamps)! Oh darling!
we celebrate and are happy! Oh Darling!

முத்ததிலே —-> முத்தத்திலே from முற்றம் (means the central brick yard inside the house)

Line 6 : வண்ண மணி கைகளிலே —>. It means “shiny beautiful hands” not necessarily “beads in the hands”. Usually beads are strung in a necklace, Beaded bracelets and bangles are not worn together. Bangles, be they plain gold or with precious stones embedded in them are the preferred ornaments.. In this context “vaNNa maNi” means “beautiful”

All in all a nice folk song fitting in the rural scene.
